The Blue Lagoon

One of the most iconic spots in the Adriatic, the Blue Lagoon is famous for its surreal, crystal-clear water. Hidden between islets near Drvenik Veli, this natural lagoon offers some of the calmest, cleanest swimming in Croatia.

Here, time slows down. You might spend the afternoon snorkelling over sandy seabed, floating lazily in the sun, or simply enjoying the silence that only open water can provide. The colours shift from pale mint to deep cobalt as the sun moves overhead it’s almost hypnotic.

Vela Rina (Drvenik Mali)

Located on the southern tip of Drvenik Mali, Vela Rina feels like a well-kept secret. It’s one of the rare natural sandy beaches in this part of the Adriatic soft underfoot, gentle in the waves, and uncrowded even in summer.

It’s the kind of place where you’ll want to stay a while. And you can. Many guests choose to enjoy a lunch at a local konoba right by the beach. Grilled fish, chilled wine, and warm hospitality it doesn’t get more authentic than that.

After lunch? Go for a swim, stretch out under a pine tree, or explore the shallows with a snorkel mask. Total island bliss.

Jelinak Bay and the Underwater Museum

Not far from the mainland hides Jelinak Bay, a quiet cove with a big surprise below the surface. Here lies a small underwater museum, where submerged sculptures rest on the seabed creating an unexpected fusion of art and nature.

It’s a favourite for snorkelers and underwater photographers. The water is clear and calm, making it easy to explore even if you’re not a seasoned diver. And if you’d rather stay dry? Just float above the scene and let the quiet beauty of it all sink in.
